Award-winning chef Heston Blumenthal set to awe crowds at the Good Food & Wine Show

The Good Food & Wine Show is South Africa's premiere food, wine and lifestyle show, and the only one of its kind to consistently bring a star-studded line-up of the world's most inspiring chefs to South Africa. This year will be no different - food lovers from all over the Cape are expected to flock to the 12th annual show at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 26 -29 May to see renowned chef Heston Blumenthal in his first-ever public appearance in South Africa.

A self-taught gastronomic genius, Heston Blumenthal is the owner of The Fat Duck, restaurant which holds a 3-star Michelin Guide rating and was named best restaurant in the world and best restaurant in Britain.  His unique and creative approach to gastronomy and his  passion for taste and flavour have taken him on an unusual journey that includes the modernization of period dishes (such as Meat Fruit from the Middle-ages and Mock Turtle Soup from the Victorian-era), to taste-adventuring with edible insects, and breaking down culinary boundaries with his glow-in-the-dark pancakes and golden jellies.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this one-of-a-kind chef live at the Samsung Chefs in Action Theatre on Saturday 28 May and Sunday 29 May. General entry tickets start at R350 and, for those who really want to personally meet the chef who made snail porridge a classic,  a limited number of VIP tickets will be available for R850, including premium seating, and a book signing with a photo opportunity with the culinary alchemist himself (Note: the book is not included in the VIP price). Participants can choose from Heston’s latest books, including Heston’s Fantastical Feasts, The Fat Duck Cookbook, In Search of Total Perfection and The Big Fat Cookbook which will all be available for purchase at the show.
With his creative approach, adventurous spirit and an exceptional sense of flavour, seeing Heston Blumenthal perform live at the Good Food & Wine Show will be an unforgettable experience and above all great fun.  Book your tickets now at Computicket.com, and for the full programme visit www.GoodFoodandWineShow.co.za
